decision
always consult your vision, purpose and ideal day when making an important decision.
You, at this point in your life, are a manifestation of all of your past choices. These choices are not just physical… but mental, financial, and spiritual.
mistake
the number of times i’ve fallen into wrong decisions is countless, even recently → i took up an offer by codedamn to become a dev rel for their startup. neither was I a devrel nor was I interested in creating content for a coding education company right now ( during boards )
but that impulsive decision without much introspection led me to waste a few hours
how to take good decisions
understanding and manifesting your goals
The specificity helps reduce the friction around action, because you are in direct control of the outcome.
making better decisions is easier when you’re in touch with your purpose and the plan to focus on ; but those two aren’t enough
purposeful mindset
will help filter signal from noise
- as you start filtering importance and distractions, the signal-noise ratio will also improve
being open minded
locking your mind to one perspective will cloud your judgement and decision making skill; always seek multiple perspectives and try to view it from that angle (steelman both sides)
your personal perspective is based on your identity you need to work towards adopting a cosmic perspective but that will take time.
but honestly, start with identifying with your future self, how would they approach situations - when you start doing this, you’re decision making will become automatic as you’re trying to survive the idea of your higher self.
How can you view the situation that allows you to perceive it in a way that is conducive to action?
think about this, and you make better decisions :)
