the why
- transferable skill to physics, cs and finance
- competence inoculation - fights against the brainrot in the world right now
- epistemic hygiene
- its fun and it’s like a game; there are levels and very clear metric to know where you are
- unifies my understanding across physics, cs, philosophy, econ etc; math is the general language
- modeling, optimization, control, data intuition
study guide
in my personal case, my foundations are fucked up because i did not pay attention to anything in highschool, so im gonna spend a solid chunk going through precalc and trigonometry from khan academy before i start with the actual shtuff
khan academy:
- trigonometry
- precalc
- statistics and probability
- differential calculus
- integral calculus
- multivariable calculus
- differential equations
- linear algebra
then after this ill learn about
- real analysis
- complex analysis
- partial diff eqns
