how does crypto help ai?
- zero knowledge machine learning (zkml), which uses machine learning models and zero knowledge proofs to create decentralized on-chain trading bots, yield farming bots, and transparent AI models. This allows for privacy while still verifying the integrity of the model.
- problems related to centralization and trust in applications that use AI models.
problems in ai:
- High costs — developing AI tech requires a ton of computing power. That’s not cheap, and usually, only the tech giants have the deep pockets to afford the necessary hardware, creating a barrier to entry for smaller entities.
- Data monopolies — AI models require loads of data to train on. The big companies sit on mountains of user data with which they can make advanced AI models.
this centralizes things a lot, users lose ownership
Google has Gemini, Twitter is rolling with Grok, and OpenAI made waves with ChatGPT. and the users? they just get exploited
but cant blame the companies for it… it’s their competitive advantage, and we gave it to them ( or rather they took it themselves )
what’s crypto?
Decentralization, transparency, interopability, permissionless work and economic incentives are inherent principles of crypto and blockchain.
mix this with ai and you get
- 0 barrier of entry
- equitable ecosystem for the development and use of ai

- agents can interact out of wallets but not out of banks ( that will be very hard to build ) whereas crypto has already solved this at scale
solutions:
- decentralized compute
- gib gpu, take token
- incentivizing users to allow models to train on their data ( provable via signatures )
- agents to trade for you ( easier ux wrt ai helping crypto )
- economical incentive for developers to create ( ? )
- trustless governance w/ code ( daos )
- data provinence and privacy
- auditability of anything onchain ( onchain ai algorithms how does that even work ) algorithms in ai models
what crypto brings:
- ownership
- public ledger
We all want open source AI, and a wide proliferation of models custom fit for various uses, but the tailwinds behind the economies of scale for AI models are very strong. Data monopolies and compute monopolies restrict open AI model development
crypto decentralization can balance out AI centralization, AI is opaque and crypto brings transparency
